Many people think of the Stoics as cold people. They think their ideal is to be like stone — cold and motionless in the rough seas of life.
This is not true.
One of the most well-known principles of the Stoics is Amor Fati — the love of fate. It means you should love your fate, not merely accept it.
Even the indifferent events in life are produced with equal love by Nature. So we must also love them equally.
Don’t want the world to work like you want it to work. Love how it actually works and you will be happy.
Stoicism is not about suffering courageously. It’s about living your life to the fullest.
